post#9 appealing to everyone to save animals and our lives

in my blog I used all three
I used pathos when i appealed to people emotions about the suffering and abused animals and I also talked about the health affects to our own health so I also made it personal.
I used Ethos when I talked about how I have done a lot of reading and research on this topic plus I practice what I preach.
Finally I used Logos I explained the reason and it does make sense to stop the suffering and to help our health.I also included a chart which broke down disease and percents showed that people who ate meat had a higher percent for that disease sometimes you need to see facts for it to make sense.
I think the one that will be most important is pathos I was trying to play to emotions anytime when animals are involved this prompts people to take action immediately. Also when I talked about our health this affects people to take this issue very serious even when you post a picture of an abused animal as I did this often works with or without words. I hope that I educated and inspire people to take a look and think about what they eat at their next meal if I can save any animals my job is done.

Science of Persuasion

All of these 6 keys are important when trying to persuade people, some work better when blogging than others.
One is not more important than the other they all work in different ways and are all important some more than others but they are all useful when persuading people there was only one that I found that did not really work in blogging but all the rest you can use really well in blogging.

Reciprocity works on blogs when you read something important or interesting on a blag your may reciprocate they favor by sharing the information you learned with others and they in turn do so as well. You might also reciprocate the blogger by sharing info that you know or you might share something different you think they might like.

Authority works when blogging as well, if you are reading a blog for how to buying and selling homes you would look for a blog of someone who has experience. You would pick someone who buys and sells many house like a successful real estate agent rather than a person that bought their first house.

Liking is important you would read blogs from people that you really like and have similarities with rather than someone that you cant stand personalty.just like that  celebrity that many people  cant stand  Kate Gosselin she blogged with coupon cabin for awhile but so many people disliked her that she was fired.

Consensus works if you were looking for a blog to read and there was a posting that read 90% of people that read out post continue to follow us and read out blogs that would persuade you to read the blog and continue to read their blogs.

Consistency can work in the sense that some people who read certain blogs that they like tend to be consistent with their reading of that blog over others.

Scarcity  does work with blogging this works more in the real world like the tickle me Elmo when people heard it was going to be hard to get they flocked to them and bought them all up. This is hard in the blogging world because there are so many blogs out there and so much information that info and blogs are not hard to come by at all.

Art of personal essay

There were a few ideas that I really liked,

1. essayist must be a a reliable narrator they must trust our sincerity. In other words I have to know what I am talking about to get the readers to trust me and believe I know what I am talking about.
If i were writing about this I would pick a subject such as going back to school I know first hand how that is and what it feels like since I experienced it myself.

2. Personal essayist are adapt at interrogating their ignorance, They explain what they know in the beginning and explore a problem what they don't know and why.  I would talk about what I know like English I have had many English classes but my problem has always been bio anatomy and physiology and I have no idea why English is easy to me and the bio classes are not.

3. The article also talks about being honest, that few of us can remain honest for long. when I write I always am honest I don't want to embellish for the entertainment value unless it is fiction if I am writing a personal story I will write the good the bad and the ugly. It is good to learn from my mistakes and my mistakes can help my readers.

these are a few ideas that I am thinking about these stuck out at me when I was reading the article.

goals/objectives for memoir

What my goals are is I hope to become a better writer I have not written that many papers this semester or last so I would like to brush up again. Also I hope to help others learn something about the topic that i choose weather it is about a struggle i went through in my life or something I overcame I hope others can learn from this. I also want to see if I have the courage to share something personal with other I do not know for some people especially me this is hard to do have others read something about me people that I do not know. These are just a few goals one more thing is I hope that others can see my writing as an authentic voice so I will be writing from my personal experiences I hope this reflects in my writing.

Ideas for Memoirs

writing as self revalation

my favorite passage i picked out was this one.

"The person we usually call introverts seem never to have learned adequately how to communicate their thoughts to others."  They tend to withdraw into themselves, "They think too much." It is sometimes presumed and "such men are dangerous" Or they are shy, inarticulate and it is thought lonely. - Writing as self revaluation 

this passage talks about how introvert people are sometimes withdrawn into their own world, they keep to themselves. They do not communicate with the rest of the world their thoughts and feelings, they over think and this makes them a threat no one knows what they are thinking or what they will do. 

I don't like how the author says for writing you don't have to practice.
i think everything takes practice to get better, i know some people are born with the ability to write great and amazing papers from their soul. some people just crave the need to write. there are also people that need to practice maybe they have trouble on their own or are not great writer but with practice became amazing authors.
